Furnace roll
Furnace rolls provide the gripping property and build-up resistance needed to convey steel sheet in a high-temperature environment. TOCALO's thermal spray coatings meet various customer needs by extending the longer service life of machine parts.
Piston rods
WC cermet spray coating provides wear resistance, heat insulation and lubricity that can dramatically extend the life of piston rods.
Boiler tubes
The high-temperatures of boiler equipment at thermal power plants cause extreme wear on the equipment, making it essential to take steps to extend the life of the equipment. Abrasion resistant spraying reduces maintenance costs and, because the equipment can be used longer, reduces renewal costs as well. Thermal spraying also prevents corrosion from the co-firing of ammonia and hydrogen.
Mold for automobile
Coating increases the wear and seizure resistance of press molds for automobiles, which helps molds last longer and improves productivity.
Aircraft parts
Thermal spraying is applied to moving and stationary blades in jet engines for heat resistance, and to landing gear and other parts to prevent sliding wear.
Yankee dryer roll
A Yankee dryer roll is a large roll with a diameter of 3,000 millimeters or more used in tissue paper production lines. TOCALO's Yankee dryer roll coating forms a structure similar to cast metal and offers excellent wear resistance. We also have the service expertise to carry out all pre-processing polishing, thermal spraying, and finish polishing on site, eliminating the need to remove the roll.
Mirrored-surface roll for film production line
TOCALO coating applied to film-production rolls provides mirror-surface texture and reduces defects. The coating is also a release coating, which prevents product defects and contributes to quality consistency.
Cutter
Mercury Coat is a coating with excellent hardness, oxidation resistance, and wear resistance properties. The coating improves dry processing, operation speed, and machining efficiency for gear-cutting processes.
Pump components
TOCALO ceramic coating is used in various pump components to provide erosion resistance, improve durability, and extend component life.
Sink roll
TOCALO coating (molten metal-resistant properties) is applied to CGL sink rolls to prevent the surface from corrosion and other damage that cause groove marks.
Bridge piers
TOCALO coating improves bridge pier resistance to corrosion and rust due to sea water and provides long-term durability.
Sleeves
In many cases, thermal spraying the sliding parts of sleeves can eliminate the need for lubrication when operating machine equipment with the significant benefits of improving environmental performance, reducing the cost of consumables, and protecting products from foreign matter.
Bearings
Bearings often deteriorate due to electrical corrosion caused by electrical leaks from a motor or generator. TOCALO eliminates the problem by applying a thermal spray coating with insulation properties to the bearing surfaces.
Dry etcher
TOCALO coating is applied to the parts of the dry-etcher that perform the dry-etching of silicon wafers. The coating provides many advantages for the parts, including plasma-erosion resistance and electrical properties.
Discharge electrodes
Dense thermal spraying of a thin coating of dielectric material enables matching of the dielectric and power source that is impossible with bulk materials while providing electrical discharge that saves energy and has minimal heat loss.
Injection molding
Casting dies, resin molding dies, and their cores, ejector pins, and other components must have a protective (non-reacting) barrier between the die and the casting. Various non-reactive membranes (release membranes) are applied to molds to shorten the cycle times and increase product yield. TOCALO coatings offer solutions for all types of dies, including for thin-walled and complex workpieces.
Spin coater
Liquid residue and sticky materials can hinder productivity of processes that use water-soluble materials or for production equipment that is not in continuous 24-hour operation. In many industries, surface modification is becoming an essential part of solutions to reduce labor intensity.
Rice cooking line
TOCALO coating adds induction heating properties to improve the heating efficiency of aluminum rice cookers. The reduced weight of the cookers saves energy and improves cooking efficiency. Thermal spraying a conductive material (high resistance material) can also be used to make planar heaters. An additional coating with a different material can eliminate static electricity (slow leaks) from the contact material.
Pipework
TOCALO's MS-ZAC technology reduces tritium permeation while also protecting against hydrogen embrittlement. We are continuing to develop the technology to provide solutions for the growing use of hydrogen in society.
Almond roasting equipment
Our coatings enhance surface emissivity of roasting equipment, improving heating efficiency (heat dissipation) to the objects being heated. The many benefits include shorter heating time and seizure resistance in vacuum conditions, more consistent food taste, and less energy required for heating.
Resin materials
Resin is increasingly being used as a material to reduce the weight of objects; however, one weakness of resin is that it cannot stop electromagnetic waves. Encasing lightweight resin with a metallic material provides shielding properties for electromagnetic waves.
Hydroelectric generator turbines
Equipment used in hydroelectric plants often incurs wear and erosion due to damage from the flow of sand and rock. TOCALO coatings protect equipment from cavitation erosion and other types of damage.
Artificial bone (implants)
Treating the surface of artificial bone with a porous and biocompatible material accelerates acceptance by the living tissue and shortens rehabilitation time.
